Our 1800 Square Foot Loft is spacious and open, with curated gallery walls, giving you lots to look at while you're getting your services done. A bumping playlist playing in the background. Our goal was to create a space where everyone feels welcome, knows they're in good hands, can afford the service they are getting and leaves feeling confident.

Founded By Experts in Skin and Business

The Lab Skin Science was founded in 2006 by Sofia Vassi, a licensed medical esthetician with over 25 years of experience, and Sommer Dunsmuir, a business founder with an MBA.

We sought to create a bridge between Medical Esthetics and a Spa, creating a science based skin studio that is approachable and affordable.

Expanding Affordable Treatment Options

The Lab Skin Science was the first in Toronto to offer Pay-as-You-Go Laser Hair Removal, no memberships or packages. The idea was so well received that we began creating more ways for guests to be able to receive science driven skin results in a more affordable way.

We created a Facial Subscription Package - the first of it's kind in Toronto.  An opportunity for everyone to be able to afford facials "with jobs:” Hydrafacial, Photofacial, Buccal Facial Massage, etc. Next, we went about creating days of the week where people can save a little extra on their services, like Teeth Whitening, Laser Hair Removal, Facials, Eyelash Extensions, Lash Lifts and Brows.

Taking away the imposing nature of a Medical Clinic, and the slow pace of a Spa, The Lab Skin Science brings a more casual approach to Skin Care and Laser Hair Removal without compromising expertise. All of our staff are licensed and experienced taking part in additional training through out the year.
